Dali Lama

Yesterday, (Monday April-15-2008) I wentand saw the Dali Lama with a group of students from my school, a total of probably 20 students went. I am REALLY glad I went because it was a inpirational experience. One thing that I heard on the radio however, is that some parents didnt want their kids going because they thought that their child would be pushed into becoming Buddist. That however is simply NOT true, in fact the Dali Lama brought up that you dont have to be of a certain religion to belive in compassion and in changing your and otheres world. In this show there was also Indian dancing and singing and the indians idea of copassion. Also there was inspirational speakers and poets. I am really glad I went to learn how to sew the seeds of compassion.

I'm glad I went to see the Dali Lama too. I didn't totally understand his idea of Compassion. Was Birdie part of the Native American dancers? Was it really hard to understand what he was saying for you like it was for me? It was a good field trip.
